Soju (소주)

Soju is one sneaky son-of-a-gun.

This rice vodka-like alcohol packs a wallop if you’re not careful. It is everywhere and dirt cheap (about $1 – 1.50 a bottle).

You can even buy it in a juice box for about $.90 or a huge 4-liter for around $3.

Most Koreans drink this over 맥주, beer, because well…Korean beer sucks, and imports are expensive (Miller on draft is about $7).

Just be leary — it makes you a horrible bowler.

This is the brand (Jinro) most people drink.
